DWIHN Continues Partnership with Detroit Zoological Society Highlighting Mental Health

Discounted Admission offered During Mental Health Awareness Month

DETROIT, MI – May 6, 2025 - The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) is continuing its Spring partnership with the Detroit Zoological Society for the second year in a row to help shed light on mental health.

On select Saturdays in May families can enjoy a discounted price of $20 when purchasing tickets through a special portal on the DWIHN website or QR code.

“We’re excited to once again partner with the Detroit Zoological Society to reach families and educate the community about our vital programs and services in such a wonderful space,” said James E. White, DWIHN President and CEO.

In addition to the discounted admission, DWIHN will also have a resource tent available for visitors to learn more about the network and provide access to mental health services for children, youth and adults, including autism services, and substance use disorder services.

DWIHN outreach teams will be at the Detroit Zoo entrance area for May 10th and 17th from 10 am to 2 pm with information and promo items for visitors.

“The Detroit Zoological Society expresses gratitude for collaborating with the DWIHN during Mental Health Awareness Month,” said Dr. D’Andrea Matthews, DZS Vice President of Diversity and Community Engagement. “Together, we aim to create meaningful connections between people, animals and the natural world so all can thrive.” added Matthews.
